The Story Behind The Book

There is always a story behind the story.

Before the cover. Before the printed pages. Before the box arrived at my door and I held it in my hands for the first time — there was a season. A long, quiet, sometimes agonizing season where I wasn't sure any of this would ever exist.

I wrote The Story Behind My Praise because I had to. Not because it was easy — it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But because I believe with my whole heart that our testimonies are not just for us. They are meant to find the person who needs to hear exactly what we went through.

If you've ever felt isolated by grief — like your pain was too heavy, too private, or too complicated to share — I wrote this for you. If you've ever sat in a worship service and felt like everyone around you had access to something you couldn't find — I wrote this for you. If you've ever praised God through tears, not because you felt like it, but because you had made a decision that your faith would outlast your feelings — I wrote this for you.

This is my testimony. And I believe it belongs to more than just me.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. And if this book finds you in the middle of something hard, I pray it reminds you that the story is not over — and that your praise has a story worth telling too.

With love and gratitude,
